Abstract: Against the backdrop of the Ministry of Education's vigorous promotion of the New Engineering initiative and interdisciplinary integration, effectively translating cutting-edge scientific research into high-quality educational resources has emerged as a core issue in chemistry experiment teaching reform. Relying on the independently offered Research-oriented Experiments course (48 credit hours) for junior undergraduate students majoring in chemistry, this study designed and implemented a core inquiry-based experimental module. In this module, a bimetallic Prussian blue analogue (CuCo-PBA) nanozyme was synthesized, and its oxidase-like catalytic performance was systematically investigated. Based on the characteristic that this nanozyme can directly catalyze the oxidation of the chromogenic substrate TMB to generate a blue product without H2O2, a simple and highly efficient colorimetric sensing system was constructed by utilizing the color-lightening effect caused by the reduction of bisphenol A (BPA). The experimental content covers the complete scientific research process, including material synthesis, structural characterization, enzyme activity verification, kinetic studies, methodology validation, and actual sample analysis. Through systematic training in this course, students gained an in-depth understanding of the structure-property relationship of nanomaterials, and their abilities in experimental design, data analysis, and academic expression were significantly enhanced. The course organically integrates frontier scientific achievements into experimental teaching, ensuring that the cultivation of scientific spirit and value guidance occurs synchronously across all stages, including literature review, experimental inquiry, and application expansion. This approach effectively stimulates students' interest in scientific research and their sense of social responsibility, laying a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality, versatile talents.
